My Wi-Fi is slow / Devices stay on 2.4 GHz / How do I enable MLO?

  • Enable MLO: WLAN > Advanced > MLO > MLO SSID Enable. Wi-Fi 7 devices will simultaneously use both bands for maximum speed. Requires Band Steering to also be enabled.
  • Enable Band Steering: WLAN > Advanced > Band Steering. The router redirects capable devices to 5 GHz automatically. Adjust the RSSI2G threshold (default: −45 dBm) downwards to migrate devices more aggressively.
  • For the 5 GHz band, set Bandwidth to 160 MHz and enable DFS Channel in WLAN > WLAN 5G > Basic Settings.

Warning: MLO requires a Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) compatible client device. Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 devices connect normally but without MLO.
