How do I use the WAN Ethernet port? What is 5G failover?

  • Connect the WAN/LAN 2.5GbE port to your Internet box or modem with an Ethernet cable.
  • Go to Internet > Ethernet and set Connection Mode to Auto (or the mode appropriate for your ISP). Click Apply.

If the wired connection fails, the router automatically switches to the 5G mobile network (5G failover) to maintain Internet access without any manual action.

Tips: If you do not want to use the port as WAN, set Connection Mode to LAN only — the port then becomes an additional 2.5 Gbps LAN port.
